Job Title: Senior Scientist— Cell Biology
Status: Full Time
Reports To: Director of Research
NuPotential, Inc. is a Louisiana-based biotechnology company that is developing novel epigenetics-based cell reprogramming technologies, including custom-designed media, small molecules, and other compounds, to induce pluripotency in human somatic cells for development of autologous cell replacement therapies. NuPotential's technologies will also have applications to improving potential in human adult stem cells, as well as mammalian somatic cells for nuclear transfer.
This position offers the opportunity for senior-level participation in NuPotential's research program and product development. The responsibilities include:
Design, lead, and execute technical plans for cell culture and in vitro experimentation, including independently conducting experiments, as well as managing team experimental efforts.
Participate in experimental design and provide technical and intellectual input for company-wide technology development strategies and science team decisions.
Maintain clear records, organize reports, and communicate data in verbal and written forms.
Prepare grants, manuscripts, and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent in cell biology or related field.
3-5 years experience in human and/or mammalian cell culture (stem cell culture experience preferable).
Technical expertise in performing a variety of in vitro experimental techniques and troubleshooting.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; leadership and management skills a plus.
